Flea Market find re-purposed
BEFORE
$1.49 find at Christian Community Action Resale
I think it was some kind of calendar thing, that was the company name on the back anyway.
I think you would hang a yearly calendar, see the cutout at the top of the backing. I'll use that hole for hanging the thing later. There is also a handy little slot for a pencil hold in the bottom of the red frame.
During process, taped and about three or four coats of chalkboard paint.
Before spot where my new creation will hang.
AFTER - I like it!
See groove where the chalk fits perfectly. I'm looking for some black and white gingham ribbon for hanging. But for now the bronze was on hand. Had the ribbon and chalkboard paint. Total project $1.49. I think the chalk cost more, nope dollar tree. Had that already too.

What a cute chalkboard and what a great buy. I have made a chalkboard, too but haven't shared it yet. I think everyone in blog land has to make a chalk board. It is required.
ReplyDeleteVery cool! I like the frame a lot, with it's built in little ledge. :) It's just the right size for the spot where you hung it, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up!
