When your niece gets married ....

You help of course and feel very old, because the baby you bounced on your knee and watched grow is now becoming a married woman!  She and Rhett were married at the White Sparrow Barn in Quinlan, Texas.
The altar area before and after.  Sydney wanted simple and lots of greenery.  The venue was a gorgeous location and didn't need too much extra "stuff".
Thank goodness, my baby sister was in from Baton Rouge and could help with flowers.
Mint julep cups were filled with fresh flowers and nestled amongst lanterns upstairs.
Bridal bouquets included garden roses, ranunculus, crespedia, scabiosa, heather and lots more greenery.
See what I mean about a gorgeous venue.

The Mother of the Bride's best friend hosted a luncheon for the bride and her maids while they were getting ready.

Very impressive way to find your table for the reception.  Escort cards were clipped with tiny clothespin to this huge framed piece of fake grass.

More fun pictures to come, when I figure out how to share from the family picture site.

A few florals from the past weekend

I was thrilled to be included in helping with the florals and then joining in on the fun of my nieces wedding.

Take a look, she chose hydrangeas, roses, sea holly and babies breath.

Rehearsal dinner with a Tex-Mex twist

Level Two in the Dallas design district was the perfect location for a rehearsal dinner.
The lanterns with flowers on a bed of moss were elegant and fun.
The Mother of the Groom shopped Ebay and stores for Mexican themed containers.  She wanted all types of red flowers and they popped just perfect with the theme.

 The adorable lucky couple!
and... cupcakes and cookies for dessert!

I interrupt my Round Top posting for flowers!

The weekend after our girls Round Top, Antique Week trip, I had booked two jobs for rehearsal dinner and wedding flowers, all in one weekend!  I am insane and will never do that again.  "One event a weekend rule only" from now on!
400 North Ervay in Dallas is where the reception was held.  An old courthouse/post office location in downtown Dallas was gorgeous with beautiful old wood accents and a wonderful coffered ceiling.  The theme was silver and white for the florals.  So classy.
I love wedding cake!  With flowers it is even more stunning.

Thanks for the fun

Thanksgiving fun memories, I just have to share.
But first, MissAllyAnn is 9 months!

MissHadley you are going to need a really large bag for those leaves.  Thanks MissLayton for helping Lala crunch cornflakes.  Every southern girl needs to learn this fine art of making the most yummy topping for any casserole.  Of course add butter!
MissRaylyn has found the new play toy for MrHayes and MissAllyAnn.
Wait Jill, smile before that cracker goes in your mouth!

My daughter needs to give me photography lessons. These were all taken with her camera.

Not sure who is having more fun!
Aren't smocked bishop dresses just the cutest!  Even more cute are MissHadley and MissLayton.

I went a little overboard

I had a wedding flower job this past weekend and ended up with a bit of an over order.  Lucky for my house, my friends, hubbies and Lynley's work mates.

These were gifted to friends and co-workers

 These are brightening my kitchen.

Love this metal pitcher from IKEA and this tiny vase from our trip to Ireland.
Waterford and roses, a splurge bedside!

Both bathrooms decked out in pinks.

Thank you Ooohlala Floral.
