My forever baby got married!

And just like that, I have three married daughters and three great son-in-laws! My youngest daughter, who will forever be my baby, got married to her love. It was a destination wedding in Cancun! Destination weddings are like a week long family reunion, they are fabulous.
My sisters and their families were there to help celebrate. And our first wedding where the groom's family outnumbered us. Well, by two anyway.
The bride, me in red and my sisters below!

I think the Johnson clan are pretty lucky to call Lynley one of them!

May God be with you and bless you.
May see your children's children.
May you be poor in misfortunes
and rich in blessings.
May you know nothing but happiness
from this day forward.

St. Patrick is a great saint!

...and Baton Rouge has a great celebration.  Thank you St. Patrick for bringing Christianity to Ireland and for your celebration to the USA.  I have heard that Ireland does not celebrate this holiday quite like we do here in the states.
My Mom's maiden name is McKee. We gather together every year to have fun and love on each other.

Hmmm, guess who brought the daffodils??!!

Family, friends, crawfish and a little green beer maybe?

The group was a bit smaller this year.  My kids and grands were not able to make the long trip. See ya next year, Baton Rouge.  And thanks again for the Abadie's opening their hearts and home to us.

Christmas candy clearance

Remind me next year to buy more of these when I see them on sale after Christmas.
You can divide them for two upcoming holidays, Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy Day from the McKee Clan and lots of friends.
We gathered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana for our annual family reuinion and parade watching party.

That is MissAllyAnn saying "Daddy pick me up, please!!"

The food table and decorations were set and ready.  My fudge was a hit!

Look how great my Mom can multi task.  Talking and manning her Irish coffee bar.

We had rain gear ready, but with our Irish luck the rain waited until the parade finished!

We will be in the same spots next year enjoying the family fun!

I CAN make fudge

I have tried for years and years to make any kind of fudge....and failed every time.  This recipe is a keeper, White chocolate pistachio Irish cream fudge!  It is only four ingredients and I bet you could easily substitute any flavor of chocolate and ingredients.

St. Patrick's day is this week, try a batch and share.

All of your leprechans will be very happy!
Maybe one will leave you a pot of gold.

I used Ghiradelli white choclate morsels
32 ozs. I used three bags.
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup chopped pistachios
1/2 cup Bailey's Irish Cream

You basically combine morsels, add canned milk, Bailey,'s and start stirring in a sauce pan.  No thermometer needed.  Just constantly stir, then remove from heat and add chopped nuts.

Pour into an 8x8 pan (line with foil and lightly greased)
I did not have an 8x8, so I used my 7 x 9.
I also refrigerated overnight before I sliced.  But, I think room temperature slicing would have worked better and made nicer slices.

Recipe found on Pinterest, my board "a wee bit Irish".

Another successful family fun St. Patrick's Weekend!

We laughed and talked and had so much fun!

Family and babies decked out in our green.

Sorry, once the parade started I put my camera away! But you can see a previous year's post pictures here.

And if you can't make it in for the weekend, you become an Irish blow up doll.

Pastalaya!  I did eat every bite!

This picture with my sisters pretty much sums up the weekend.
