Precious MissAllyAnn

Welcome to our world!  We are so blessed to have you a part of our lives.
Did you know, nurses get little treat bags as thank-you gifts?

Four generations gathered to welcome her.

Big Sisters, were tentative, but oh so sweet.  They spent some time with Mama and new sister and then wanted to check out the surrounding.  "What's that?" is there new catch phrase.  Do you know, there are a lot of "what's that?" in a hospital room.
Look at these little stylista's.  The bow, the shirts, the boots!
Lala brought STICKERS!  And kleenex, why they love those little packages, I just don't know?!

Looks like sharing Daddy will not be a problem.

You are so loved and we are all so blessed.

If anyone is keeping track, we have outpaced the Smith's by one grand and are tied with the Rogenmoser's for a least a week or two.

A golden nursery for MissAllyAnn

Seems just like a few short months ago MissHadley and MissLayton were new to our lives and about three months old.
Now, as two year olds,  they get to welcome little sister in a few weeks.
MissAllyAnn's  Mom, with a little help from her sisters and I, have put together the most girly, femine nursery around.  Ivory, gold and pink highlight every inch of space.
Ann Marie and I found the pouf for her feet today at TJ Maxx.  I found the gold pillows from Pick Your Plum.  The You are my sunshine heritage blanket I found at a boutique in Flower Mound.  Southern Charm Cottage. The Jenny Lind baby bed was from my attic.  Yep, I kept it from when my girls were little.

She will leave a little sparkle wherever she goes.

Ann Marie and I found the most gorgeous fabric at Cutting Corners.  I made the curtain and dust ruffle for the crib.

Crib sheets her Mom found on Etsy.

Now all we need is little MissAllyAnn!

Happy Day!  My Louisiana Cookin' magazine arrived.  Perfect way to start my day, coffee and cookin'.
Everyone go out and have a sweet and fun day!
Crawfish Pizza on the cover and a great article about "Spirits" restaurant in my home town of Alexandria, LA.

Secret shared

Ladies listen up! I am sharing with you a lotion and sleep help tip.  I have been searching for a lavendar scented lotion to use at night, ever since my favorite ran out and is not made anymore.
After a sister shopping day in McKinney Square in Texas, I found one!
Lavender Mint by Niven Morgan.  To my surprise the product is made in Dallas too.  His website says he has some Louisiana connections too!  Gotta love both of those things.  I use it right before my head hits the pillow for the night.  I am a bit addicted.  Packaging gorgous too, such a treat.
And who doesn't want metal antlers to hold necklaces?  Found this little gem at Frisco Mercantile.

See here  for more on the bathroom remodel.

Kees Girls Staycation

When you live close to a wonderful downtown area like Dallas, you get to plan a staycation with your daughters!  Overnight bags packed, sussies wrapped and camera case ready!
Our first stop was for lunch at Hatties in the Bishop Arts District.  Grilled pimento cheese and fried green tomatoes.  B+  As you can see it was a little too much lettuce and not quite enough cheese.
A+ meatloaf, mashed potatoes and mac and cheese!

Then some shopping and walking off our lunch.
After Dude Sweet, chocolate we headed over to Emporium Pies!
A+  pies and the only place we stopped long enough to ask to have our picture snapped.  You can see MissAllyAnn is ready to make her arrival this month.  Another reason for our staycation, since Ann Marie couldn't travel with only four weeks left of her pregnancy.

More boutique shopping and Dirt, the cutest flower shop ever!
The rain moved in as we headed to our hotel, smack in the middle of downtown.  The gorgeous historic Magnolia Hotel.
EEEEK!  Don't you love when you get upgraded to a suite?
The rest of this day was filled with laughter, girl talk and rain.  We didn't care.  Neiman's landmark original store was two blocks away and our dinner reservations were just next door!
We still woke up the next morning hungry somehow and headed to Oddfellows.  A+ again!  But, just a note, the cheese grits are better at J. Macklins in Coppell.  Only J. Macks doesn't do the fancy swirly thing in their coffee.

Walking to our car for the ride home, we spotted this little shop.  Lynley said you can add bacon to everything on their menu!  Hmmm, may have to make another trip back!
