Annie Sloan paint inspiration made me paint this 100 year old bench.
I loved the new cover I added. But, it still was missing something. It blended in with my walnut floors.
The legs had some detailing that didn't even show up.
Maybe it was the many layers of varnish that made it look dull.
My daughter, Melissa had some French Linen Annie Sloan to share.
One coat, let it dry and then ...
a second coat and a very light third coat.
Wax and buff. Return the newly covered seat and tadaaa....
I love it and it looks fabulous with the new cover. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteIt looks great! I think that really made that piece a stand out. Love it- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing how the detail of the legs show so much better with paint? Great job and color!
ReplyDeleteThat Annie Sloan has a way with her. She could talk us into painting our shoes if she tried.
ReplyDeletePretty bench and yes, you made a good choice.
Lori, this looks great! I have some pieces that I am going to paint at our Louisiana house. I haven't tried the Annie Sloan paint yet; so, this will be my first try!
ReplyDeleteIt's my dream to use Annie Sloan paint...but I look at the price and haven't brought myself to purchase a can yet...but it looks gorgeous on this bench!! What a nice daughter to share the love!!!
ReplyDeleteThe bench turned out beautifully! The new paint really emphasized the love detail. You did good. Can you believe I've still never used ASC paint? I know... Thanks for popping in to see me.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia :)
