Crates and wooden goodness

If you don't want someone to paint your wood product, definitely write something on it.

I found this little gem at Round Top Flea market in Texas.  They were tres expensive at the booths that had a large display of them.  I found this guy wondering off the beaten path sitting all buy himself on a table full of miss-matched stuff.  I saw it on my first day and did not buy it, bad, wrong.  Always buy when you see something the first time.  And always hold onto the item while you are pondering purchasing.  I learned that little lesson at Canton, another huge Texas flea market.

Took me a few random rows of hunting a couple days later to even find the booth again.  He had it marked $10.00, I offered $8.00.  Mine.

Here is what I am currently using the cheese crate for.
By the way... don't you love when you set up your picture, snap a couple shots, load it to enhance and see dirt on the counter or something splashed on your photographed item. Make you want to redo the whole thing .....
Not me see the splashed coffee on my box top photo. (above, made you look) It sits right by the coffee station.

But, for you OC folks out there it is now cleaned off.

  1. I didn't see any coffee splash. Great wooden box though! I'll see something and can't decide if I want it. I'll leave it, finish shopping, and then decide. If I go back and it's still there, we say "it was meant to be." If it's no longer there, then it wasn't meant to be. That's how I rationalize it.

  4. You did get a great deal on that wooden box. I heat that box, and I couldn't see the coffee splash either. I'm always shocked when I see something that needs to be cleaned in the photograph, but I hadn't seen it while taking the photo. So glad you linked this wonderful treasure to Favorite Things Sat. laurie
