Clearance!!

Clearance and GW finds...

I'll start with clearance at Ross....
Little white creamer.... $1.99

Ok weird, I know, but I needed a little skillet for my latest diet, only one egg each morning to get the metabolism jump started. I hated pulling out the huge skillet each day.  Clearance $5.50.  Towels, never enough dish towels, I am anti paper towels.  (Green since before green was popular)  five for $3.50.  I have been looking so I knew this was a deal.

Ok weird again, why is Lori taking pictures in the ground cover? I took this outside to show the detail on the tray.  I am buying pretty much only white dishes, etc. now.  This one a steal at $3.59.   14 inch porcelain tray from Portugal.   Can't wait to serve something in it.

Now onto the steal deals.

I'll start small with the red, white and blue votives from GW, brand new and $1.00 each.

They would look white if I had a great camera.

Had to take this picture outside, (remember crappy camera)  so you can see the detail.  Few post ago, my  kitchen redo, I thought I needed just one more frame.

Again excuse the photo, but you get the picture, bwahhaha.
The frame didn't have a price on it, so I recommended $1.00 at check out, sold.

Ok get ready, big deal of the day...

Just a peek at the bottom first.  Love the drawer feature and have some Anthroplogy knobs to add after I paint, I'm thinking black.

Side view... You are getting interested I know.

I think the black will pop whatever I put on the four shelves.  Count them four!

Tadaa... Goodwill find, probably somebodies Grandmother's.  Now mine.  I guess would be good as is.  What do you think and what color would you paint it?  Or as is?

You guessed it $10.00 deal of the day.

  1. I just LOVE that frame!! The shelving is a great deal as well! I went to the GW store today too and came out virtually empty handed....disappointment, but probably best for the pocketbook, even at the GW! I'd go with black on the shelf, but I pretty much go with black on most things. :O) It's slimming....oh wait....we were talking about furniture....

  4. Great stuff! I'm especially liking the tray and frame. As for the furniture, I think it depends on the look you're going for. I would definitely paint it. Black would be more sophisticated, creamy white would be more fresh farmhouse/cottage. Either one will look great.

  6. Thanks for visiting! I would paint this shelf white! But I will need to check out the rest of your decor first as a nice color would look great too! That little chest would make a great bench if you attached a back piece to the sides that stick up. I saw one on someone blog just recently that looked alot like this one! You got some really deals!

  7. Ooops! Just went back and saw what I thought was a chest is actually part of the shelves! Geez! I didn't realize this was all one piece, that's really cool! I still say white (off white), although black would be cool too! That is one great find!

  13. Hi Lori -- Oh mama I love that shelving unit! And you are lucky, because you can leave it "as is" in its coat of dark wood, or paint it black, or white, or PUCE for heaven's sake -- it would look great in any color.
Wonderful finds -- and WHERE did you get 5 dishtowels for 3.49? I go thru lots of dishtowels every day, and am always looking for bargains.

    Thanks for sharing -- Cass

  15. Wow, what a great find, that shelf for$10.00. Our GW in Orlando are so expensive, the real thrifters hardly ever go there. I know it is regional though because I am always seeing such great deals from bloggers. I am a lover of shabby, so everything in my house is white...I would paint it white! Stop over and see my garage salen find if you get a chance.
