First Monday Trade Days, Canton, Texas

Yes, I had a few hours to kill and since Canton First Monday flea market is a little over and
hour drive for me.  I loaded up the shopping cart and headed out.  Always the weekend before the first Monday of the month.  Hence the name.

Now, if you saw my Round Top flea market pictures, I have been spoiled.
Canton just doesn't seem the same anymore.

Too many of these....

The deluxe, extra storage and a canopy scooter.  High dollar rental I'm sure.

But, if you can ignore these and the cell phone cover booths and the purse and T-shirt sales,
"can't you find those things at home?"

You get to look at these things, about one in 10 booths.

Come again and see the reason I went to Canton and my few purchases.

There will be a second Canton posting coming up.

  1. Can't wait to see what you picked up. You are certainly right about how Canton has changed and only 1 in 10 spots have good flea market finds. I still like it but we don't spend as much time there as we used to!

  2. I love Canton! I have not been in too long, and I thought about it all weekend, and was wishing I could make it out, so I'm living vicariously through your post! I can't wait to see what you found, and appreciate the pictures.

  3. Looks like some nice stuff, but you are right not like Round Top. Thanks for commenting on my sewing skills. I glued the rope on and then had to hand stitch the ends folded to the back.
