Hollywood Heights in Dallas not California

I had the best Sunday.  First let me say the best part was getting to spend time with all three of my daughters and one of my sisters.  We headed to downtown Dallas and toured five 1930's tudor style homes.  It is said to be the largest preserved neighborhood of its kind in the entire country.  Love taking a peek and getting great decorating ideas.

It was windy, but overcast and not too hot.

Well kept and loved by generations.

Everything about this dining room we loved.  The pops of orange and sky blues.  The white ceramic moose.

Every closet should have a dressing table like this one.  Usually closet doors are closed, not this one.  This was part of an attic upstairs master suite expansion.  Most homes were around 1700 square feet originally.

Great use of a small back  porch.

Loved the curtain divider tied to a towel hook.

and then the tour was over, but a late lunch followed and the fun continued.

Thanks girls and Lynley for finding the home tour.  hint, hint... Swiss Avenue tour is usually on Mother's Day Weekend!

  2. I love going on home tours! This one looked fantastic! The homes looked like they had a lot of character because of their age. I think those are my favorite kind. Thanks for sharing your pics since I live in another state.
