It's the little things that count..

I do this for Lynn every morning.... I'm always awake first, so I start the coffee.  I learned this tiny trick from his Dad.  He would put his coffee cup on top of the coffee machine to warm it up.

See my cup waiting, cold on the left, while his is warming on top of the coffee machine during the coffee making process.   It really does work.  Plus, he knows I am thinking about him every morning during coffee time.

Don't you love when someone does something inconsequential for you!  Now, I'm going to get my cold cup and fill it with hot coffee and caramel vanilla cream!

  1. It is those little things, and I am betting Lynn loves it!

  2. Lori, I make the coffee every morning for you know who, too while he dresses for work. I have never heard of putting the cup on top to warm it. What a neat trick.

  3. Your hubby is a lucky man to get a warm coffee cup every morning! I'll have to try to warm up ours tomorrow morning!

  4. Aren't you sweet.

Funny you should write this today... When I got my first cup at work this morning, I noticed I forgot to turn off my cup warmer last night (that's our secret). My cup was nice and toasty.

    Have a great weekend! La

  5. I have never seen that trick but I'm going to be doing that for my sweetheart from now on too! Thanks for sharing with us a new way to take care of those we love! :-)

  6. Lori, You are truly the most thoughtful person I know...and I'm so glad to call you one of my best friends! Luv Ya!

  7. I love sweet things like that! You can also put water in the cup, heat it in the microwave for a few minutes and then poor it out. Instant warm cup! He should feel very loved!

  8. I would rather do little sweet things like this or have them done for me than spend a ton of money on roses and candy. These are the things that show you care.

  9. So true....I can't function in the morning without my coffee.... Happy Monday!
