So Hot I wish I was a fish

If you have had to suffer through our Texas summer this year, you might as well break a record.
Today we reached 103, which broke todays daily record.  Below is the forecast for tomorrow.

Also today we tied 1980 for 69 days of over 100 degree temps for the summer.
Here is our forecast.

Yay... we are breaking the record by two days!  Boo, you should see my electric bill and dried up yard.

I wish I was our fish in the pond, they seem happy.

Surely, the end of this has to be in sight!   Bring on fall temps please.

  1. Oh boy, that just stinks Lori. Soon you will be getting cooler temps I hope. We are still warm here too, but nothing like that! Our summer was brutal though, glad to see it go.

  3. Oh my goodness! We have only recently started to experience cooler temps. It has been a welcome relief even though it still heats up in the middle of the day. My husband has a lawn business on the side and would not be able to work in temps like yours. He's already wanting to move further north just to escape our 90 degree summers! Ha! Hang in there. Fall is around the corner.

  4. I keep hoping you will get a break in the heat and some much needed rain. With the heat you have been experiencing 87 is going to feel good.

  8. Hi Lori! And I thought we were hot! That's just stifling! It's been in the 100's in Houston but we're a little cooler here on the island but we're all dried up! :)
    Hope the temps get cooler really soon
    Be a sweetie,

  13. I'm right here with you...it's really wearing us down, isn't it? I had been able to keep my lawn looking okay until just the last couple of weeks, and I miss working in the flowerbeds. Please Lord, send rain!!

  14. I think it's the lack of rain that is bothering me more than the heat. I hate seeing all of our trees crunchy and dead bushes everywhere! We need the rain!!! {but at least we got a record from all the suffering we did this summer!}
