Bibs, booties, babies and blessings

We get to join the club!  Ann Marie and Michael are going to be parents and that makes us Grand-parents.  I have heard it is the most wonderful thing to have grandchildren.  We are thrilled beyond thrilled.

And wait it gets better, they are having TWINS!

When they first told us, none of us knew the twin part.  They surprised us at our house with this box full of baby booties and an adorable little, soft baby cap.  It came along with a request to pray for Baby T.

Then during a sonogram they found out it will be TWO.  Double blessings for all those prayers.
A good friend at work had these two little bibs below monogrammed for me.
LaLa and Papa couldn't be more thrilled.  Our twin daughter is having twins (I can't wait for them to get to experience all that goes with two)!

Now your best tips on grand-parenting, please.  We will be new at this so any pointers send them our way!  Did I mention how thrilled we are!

  1. Rejoicing with you Lori! As we both know, twins are wonderful! I know both of my girls wished for them. Being a grandma is my most favorite thing in the world. Welcome to the club!

  5. Congratulations! That is just so exciting!
I have no tips beyond this. Invest in a pack-n-play. Or two, in your case. They're nice to have when they come over to visit. But the best part? You just get to love them and love them and love them.

  9. Congratulaions, Lori! I became a first time grandmother two years ago this July ~ it is wonderful! I am so in love with my granddaughter I can't tell you. You'll have double that with twins; you won't be able to get enough of them. You will smile and laugh more than you thought possible; everyone told me that I was just so happy all the time after she was born. But, you have to remember that advice is great when it's asked for. I try to keep my mouth shut, but I'll get my advice across by saying something to my daughter like, "Well, when you were that age, I used to . . .".

I am also a LaLa! : ) I chose that after a few months of figuring out what I wanted to be called. I chose mine because I used to soothe my granddaughter by walking around our previous home singing that old 70's song, Loving You and doing the lalalalala and she always settled so nicely in my arms. I figured if the lala's soothed her, I should be LaLa!

  12. Congratulations on the twins that are coming! What a thrill! We have one little two year old grand daughter and she lives so far away we don't get to be with her much. That part is hard.
    Be a sweetie,
