Fanny's pitcher, Louisiana pottery, carnations and a funky little gourd.
Fanny is my husbands grand-mother's name. I wonder what that was a nickname for, Fanny? Surely not her real name, but maybe. I'll have to ask my mother-in-law next time we talk.
So happy to have a piece of her past and I love the glaze on the pottery piece I found in Natchitoches, LA.
The inside of the lovely pitcher has a few cracks. I was afraid to put water directly into the container, so I placed the carnations in a small water glass and just had to make sure to water them everyday.
Happy Fall Y'all
Love decorating the house for fall! Heard Ann Marie is on bed rest. Tell her to stay there; I was also there for the last 6 weeks with Justin. Can't wait for those precious little girls to get here!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet vignette, Lori! Great use of the pitcher...and that pottery is gorgeous! Hope you're having a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteHi Lori! Oh, what a sweet and sentimental piece. Love how you've set up your vignette too.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Looks great Lori ~ and maybe Fanny was a nickname for Frances?
ReplyDeleteThis looks beautiful! Don't you LOVE 'things' that have memories attached to them? I know I do.......
ReplyDeleteHappy Fall! Great colors and memories! Love the gourd too:@)
