Jingle Bell Toss

Here is a fun idea for all ages.
A jingle bell toss game.  You can play on the floor or on a countertop.

I needed a family gift idea.  Every year I give each of my siblings and my hubbies brother a family gift box.  There has been Peppermint, movie, Italian, chocolate, Tex-Mex themes.
This year Pinterest provided the inspiration for this game.
Amazon provided the supplies.

Supplies needed
Glue gun
(tip) put extra glue on the underneath cups (feet)

All below supplies purchased through Amazon
Large jingle bells (ten per game set)
Art Canvas (11x14)
Plastic tiny cups (shot glass size)
Washi tape (optional decoration)

Bells (50) 7.99
Economy white value pack art canvas
(7) 18.61
Mini red party cups (120) 12.68

I had the hot glue gun and washi tape already

Ton of fun ~ priceless
But, for reference each set was about 7.50

Is someone coming to dinner?

I love setting a pretty table and why wait for a dinner party?  Every time I pass my table, I think to myself, "Yay a party"  then remember not just yet.
I mixed the tea cups and saucers from my collection in with the dinner plates.
Yes, Rudolph is always welcome, he never shows up, but if he did, I would serve him only in the back yard.

My dough bowl is filled with creamers and a mix of vintage and new ornaments.  I also, sprinkled around silver bells and added greenery.  (free from Home Depot clippings)

The place setting below is from my Mom's cup and saucer (Bali Hai/Kent) on top of my Mother-in-laws' china plate. (Dunrobin, Worcester)

Remember my Craig's list find here?  I am still loving my buffet and having so much fun with it this year.

Grands in a row! I after Christmas shop for framed ornaments to fill with pictures of the grand babies.  I might have enough ornaments to decorate a Christmas tree next year!

Christmas 2015 Open House

Welcome and come on in for a spell!

Love the tin watering can filled with fresh green!  Mr. Moose has been in the family for a long time, since 1984.  He is a great memory every year when he emerges from the Christmas box.
Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus and yes, I did not remove all the keys from this old Corona to make jewelry when it was all the rage a few years back.

On instagram you can check out these ladders on my daughter's Etsy site too.  LeaningintoHim. Pick up in the Dallas/McKinney area.
 Napkins I am using...
This felted Santa mouse is new this year from Ebay.  Old and in perfect condition.
We still BELIEVE and always will!

Fixer Upper watch party

Who doesn't love a little Chip and Joanna Gaines?  Who doesn't watch Fixer Upper?  Amazingly, a couple ladies at my party.  My daughter's did get me hooked on this HGTV show on Tuesday nights.
If you don't watch, basically it is the cutest couple from Waco, TX with four adorable children.  They preview three homes with a couple.  All the homes are so outdated or falling down.  One is chosen to fix up.  Amazing transformations!

So, when Season three started a few weeks ago, I took the three days after Thanksgiving and totally decorated my house and had a girly watch party.  Before the show started we had JoJo time.  At the end of every episode Joanna stages the house by herself.  So, we all brought a little sussie under $10.00, something for your home. Then had a gift exchange and watched the Season Premier, not much watching, but lots of girl talking.  It was a very fun night.

Name that movie?

One of my friends had been to Louisiana for Thanksgiving, and brought fresh oranges and satsumas from her sister's trees! Extra party favors for everyone to take home.  They were delicious!
I will be baking more Pecan Tassies and watching the next new episode tonight!
Up next, my Christmas home tour!

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to all and some random shots from November.
Our  front door this year with a mix of fresh cedar on top of artificial greens. I added silver bells and ribbon added to finish it off.

Not just one pack of Christmas napkins, but three to choose from.  You thought I forgot to show you this year's months Christmas napkins I am using?
Hubby and I took a trip to Nantachie Lake the weekend after Thanksgiving.
I took my maiden voyage on the canoe.
It is always fun when your two sisters are along for the ride.

See that racket looking thing on hubbies lap?  Electrifies bugs long enough for you to get rid of them.
Kids playing.. paddle boats, electronics and an ax.  Yep, that is the way we roll at  the lake!
Just hanging out and chopping firewood, what could be better?
