June brides and babies

I didn't want June to get away without mentioning flowers and Father's Day.
I worked two weddings in June.  One was sweet and she had a love for baby's breath.  This was the brides bouquet.  The bridesmaid's were total full bunches of babies breath.

And yes, I used the leftover flowers on Sunday for Father's Day and had all the kids over for dinner.
I love this picture of my Dad and me!
Melissa teared up a bit when she saw my display of Dads.

I love the saying on this little sign and it was sitting right next to the napkins I used!  I bought the sign and the tiny ceramic bird plate at a cute shop I just found.  If you live the Coppell/Flower Mound area you are only about 20 minutes away from this gem of a shop.  Go visit Stephanie at Southern Charm Cottage, and tell her Lori sent you.  She has gift items and mainly antiques and repurposed pieces.
Then mixed in with the two weddings and Father's Day .... there was grand sitting!
MissHadley looks way too relaxed in that stroller.  Slouch and stroll for her. We were on our way to the Farmer's Market.
More leftover flowers from this weekends wedding floral job!  One of the best perks of having a floral business!

I spy some sweet toes!
Next up MissRaylyn came for a visit!

Yes, Lala did take off that precious smocked bubble before MissRaylyn sat down for lunch.

Wish I was back at the lake

We stopped on our way back from the beach.  The lake house of Mom and Karl's is a great place to  stop, refresh and relax.

Karl is a great gardener.  He planted some rhubarb and this was the first time I have ever seen some growing.  I love the taste in my Mom's strawberry-rhubarb pie.  Who knew, it is a pretty plant too.

 The happy camp owners themselves!

We got lucky and my sister and some of her family (and a few girlfriends of her sons) were there too.

A friendly game of horseshoes anyone?

Like I said VERY relaxing.

and then she turned ONE!

Whoever said "time flies when you are having fun!", was absolutely right.

Little Miss Raylyn is one and oh what fun!
Melissa decided to go with a "ray of sunshine theme".  Perfect for Raylyn.

The pillow says "you are my sunshine."  A little background on that pillow... my Mom used to sing that song to all of us kids.  My two sisters and I each bought the same pillow one year, not knowing the other ones had.  Crazy, I know.

The look on Raylyn's face says "you mean my Lala really built this little kitchen for just me!?" (she just can't believe it is true!)
Yes, Miss Raylyn, your Lala bought the box from IKEA and followed the directions exactly. Twenty pieces later and about an hour and a half, tadaaa, a kitchen.  Lala is so very proud of herself.

The smash cake was just the cutest thing ever!  And of course Raylyn cried and wouldn't touch it.

Oh sweet couple weeks old Raylyn.  You can see the coloring station in the background.

She is our sunshine!

The yarn pom pom balls were so cute!

Front entrance mantel.  With the chalkboard telling all her first year milestones.

Melissa and Lynley made the cute pom pom hats.

What kid's table wouldn't be complete without PP&J!

MissRaylyn looks so sweet in her smocked ice cream cone bubble outfit!  This picture was pre-smash cake and a crowd singing Happy Birthday.  So, she was still a happy camper.

We love you MissRaylyn!   Happy first birthday!
