I was browsing blogs yesterday at Power of Paint with Maryann and surprised at what I came across at Little Blue Prints! Megan had the same piece of stuff she had also found at GW. Her's had been hiding out in her closet for some time and in the middle of the night her imagination light went off, (you all know the one).
I noticed the shape of her piece first and then noticed the slit in the backboard at the top. Same exact original piece as mine. Mine was in the perfect shade of red for my kitchen, not sure what her original color was. Neither of us knew what it's past life had been, but we both came up with the calendar holder idea.
Here are the twin projects. I might just need a tray this size one day and of course can re-purpose if I get some midnight imagination going.

ReplyDeleteI love the diversity of these pieces...very cool Lori when you get tired of it you know what else you can do. Thanks for joining in this week:) Debbie
ReplyDeleteLori, so nice to meet you. Of course, I love your chalkboard, because I love any chalkboard, but this one is so cute! I can't believe it was already that red color. How fun to find it made into a tray on another blog! I'm so glad you linked this to Favorite Things Sat. laurie
ReplyDeleteBoth cute ideas! Tks for sharing them.
ReplyDeleteLove both -- so fabulous that one thing can be repurposed so many different ways. Best wishes, Tammy
