Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas to all and some random shots from November.
Our front door this year with a mix of fresh cedar on top of artificial greens. I added silver bells and ribbon added to finish it off.
Not just one pack of Christmas napkins, but three to choose from. You thought I forgot to show you this year's months Christmas napkins I am using?
Hubby and I took a trip to Nantachie Lake the weekend after Thanksgiving.
I took my maiden voyage on the canoe.
It is always fun when your two sisters are along for the ride.
See that racket looking thing on hubbies lap? Electrifies bugs long enough for you to get rid of them.
Kids playing.. paddle boats, electronics and an ax. Yep, that is the way we roll at the lake!
Just hanging out and chopping firewood, what could be better?

Red roses too...
What do you do with 8 dozen red roses. You decorate and make 18 arrangements for family and friends!
This may be my last post before Christmas. May you all enjoy time with family, friends and have a very Merry Blessed Christmas.
It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Dallas Arboretum ~ Twelve Days of Christmas
Twelve Days of Christmas at the Dallas Arboretum. Please go take a look and enjoy this fabulous display. It is there for anyone who wants to take a beautiful walk around the gardens. They have carts for those that can't walk and also wheelchairs to check out.
Two turtle doves, three french hens
four calling birds
FIVE golden rings
Six geese a laying
Seven swans a swimming. Maybe my favorite.
It is also open some nights. Can you imagine how gorgeous?!
Eight maids a milking and you can see White Rock Lake in the background.
Nine ladies dancing
ten Lords a leaping
Eleven Pipers piping
Twelve drummers drumming. Three babes a playing.
Look Mom we match!
Abunch of super happy ladies and one gent, MrCharlie
Hey, MissRaylyn have you seen this cool light that we probably shoudn't be touching. No MissLayton, I am more interested in your shoe.

More is always better...
I just kept adding layers to my mantel until I had no more room for silver stuff.
But first, MissRaylyn and Santa! Northpark Mall in Dallas has Santa and I have pictures of my girls sitting on his lap some 22 years ago! You can see MissRaylyn just loved him so.
Our silver themed mantel just glows and glitters all day and especially at night.
Vintage garland, beaded bells, pointed beaded stars, tall beaded star from Wisteria
Silver bells, Pier one - they still have them this year and after Christmas they are a steal
Wreath made by my daughter, MissLynley
Mercury glass candle holders, Pier One - but I added the mercury glass paint - see here
Yep, when it comes to my mantel.... more is better!
Although, if this plain mantel was finished off with a blanket of fresh white roses how beautiful would that be?

Around the house for Christmas
How about a little tour around the living room?
My huge wooden monogram and an old Corona typewriter go well together. I refuse to pull the typewriter keys off to make jewelry!
The most perfectly shaped tree we have ever had!
An Original Snow Village church scene.
My newest ornament is one of my favorites (after Christmas sale last year). A shiny wrapped present.
I love this table setting. So festive and set ready to go. Knives, forks and spoons will be at the buffet line!
Even dried up magnolia leaves in the dough bowl are still pretty.
And yes, more crying babies and Santa! Poor MissHadley and MissLayton. Even with Nanners and Floppy for security it didn't help.
