This year the mantel holds memories. I used books as part of the decorations.
Fairy Wings, angel wings and a tiny fairy.
The reason for the season. In our house we believe.
One of my favorite childhood Christmas books. The Steadfast Tin Soldier.
The Polar Express, with Santa in his sleigh and a silver bell, because we believe in Santa too.
The book is special and one of the reasons I began this blog. It holds 25 years of holiday pictures and memories. When I filled the final page with the 25th year of pictures, our Christmas card and how we spent the holidays, I needed a new book or way to record family memories. I then created My Heart with Pleasure Fills and WOW this post makes 501 memories archived.
I have been busy this weekend. I emptied five storage containers of Christmas. All I have left to decorate is the tree (not purchased yet, we are a fresh tree family) and to put out my snow village houses.
I did take time out to share the local Christmas Home tour with all three of my girls and lunch afterwards. A perfect day!
More holiday around the house to come...
