Time for some fun overnights with the Grands!

Be still my heart.  This little new mid-century chair is perfect for the antique desk.  Yes, that desk is filled with creative projects to work.  I am looking for the perfect lamp or wall sconce for this area.
The tea party area is now located under the window canopy and not in my living room!  See the tiny TV, it has a VHS player.  Yes, still have VHS tapes too... all in the bottom drawer of the chest for the grands to watch.  Lots of Olsen Twin movies.

The book bin is right next to the bed and ready for bedtime stories.  Currently, Lilly is holding court as our favorite storybook character.

Who wouldn't love searching for "their" letter and pictures of themselves?!  I need a black and white of MrHayes for that one last frame.
Sorry for the flash on the below picture.  But, I haven't figured out yet how to shoot towards an open window.  This was a canopy for over a bed, but, I removed my cornice board and added this as a bit of whimsy.  It really "tops" off the room.

Hope you enjoyed the Grand's room as much as I enjoyed putting it all together.

Pumpkin Pie Cake

You can see the magic of how the pie layer settles to the bottom and the cake part floats to the top of this yummy recipe.  I used vanilla icing, but next time I might just use a dollop of cool whip.  The cake itself is pretty sweet.
Napkins I am using .... of course candy corn pattern.

Yes!!  Pumpkin Pie Cake!
Rolled all into one yummy dessert.

Pumpkin Pie Cake
One can 30 oz. Pumpkin Pie Mix
One box Spice cake
4 eggs
2 sticks of butter, melted

Vanilla icing (I used premade in a tub) 1 tub

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
9x13 pan, greased

I used a stand up mixer
Mix canned pumpkin pie mix and 4 eggs
when completely combined,
add 1/3 cake mix
add 1/3 melted butter
repeat till all mix and butter are added
(this helps the powdered cake mix to not fly all over your kitchen) so I've heard.
Once combined, pour into your cake pan

Bake 45-55 minutes for the center to NOT be jiggly.  Mine took 50 minutes.

Completely cool and top with icing.

Make 12 generous pieces

Think Thanksgiving! or tonight!

Press for Champagne... please

Because I saw this for $184 dollars on Etsy.

I made this.... for one of my best friends that just adores Champagne and whose daughter got married last weekend.  My girlfriends and I are putting together a sussy bag for the Mother of the Bride and this is my little sussy for her.

Get extra paper because you will off center or cut the rectangle too short!

So fun, I bought two push bells.  I may just have to make a second one for moi!

Frame - Hobby Lobby
Paper - Michaels
Push Button - Amazon NuTone Unlighted Pushbutton- Antique Brass
Gorilla Glue

Here is how easy you can make one too.  Pick font and print phrase.  Cut and place paper under glass and glue pushbutton right onto glass.  Voila, champagne anyone and thanks Leslie Anne for the Pinterest inspiration.
