What came home with me from Round Top

Just a few things came home with me this year.  But, the best are the laughs and fun I had with my daughters, sisters and friends!  Memories you cannot put a price on ever!

Two items not pictured.  The clock necklace that was a peer pressure buy.  Two other ladies were buying one, so I caved.  And I hand painted china piece that I am using at work for pens and pencils.

This little lamb screamed spring and Easter.  It is an artist print on a block of gorgeous wood.

I fell in love with this artist, Mary Gregory.  I am so glad she had some affordable objects.  Since, I need to save up for an original.

Silver sugar tongs.  Half price sale, so I couldn't resist.  It is a 1920's pattern.

An iron bunny found it's way into my bag.

The Louisiana girl in me was drawn to the magnolia gravy boat.

I have passed up dough bowls for years. This one came home with me this time.

This silver spoon bracelet, reminds me of the popular cuff bracelets.  And I got to meet the designer.

Before and ...

after! This is the only thing I had on my list to find at Round Top.  Some kind of iron piece to fill this empty space between the den and living room.  It is from Europe and from the top of an old gate.  Or at least that was the "story".

Girls just want to have fun.  We called him fake Juan Pablo.  (Sorry, Bachelor show reference)

Good-bye Round Top, Texas.  See you in the fall.

Parties over...

It is nice to have a weekend to chill with wedding flowers and a family get together over.

The wedding flower job was the Saturday before Easter. Oh my.  I think I took on a little more than I was ready to handle.  I might not book anymore holiday weekends.

Gorgeous location at White Rock Lake in Dallas.

Nothing Bundt Cakes for the wedding cake.  Smart bride!

Then Easter Sunday, everyone came out to Coppell.  Church first and then lunch back at our house.  Most gorgeous weekend.
Raylyn is on the move.  We have a crawler!

Look sister, Lala and Poppa gave us watering cans filled with goodies.  Forget about those plastic eggs.
We have cookies and cool sunglasses!

The weather was amazing and we spent most of our time outside.  Now, someone tell me how to tell your neighbor nicely...."it is Easter Sunday and turn that leaf blower off!"

Had to put out some Easter napkins of course!  The jelly bean ones were my favorite.

Somehow, I way over ordered the wedding flowers.  Nice to have some leftovers though.

Poppa and Hadley had the right idea to end the day.

Happy Glorious Easter Day!

King of Kings

and so we will always remember... Jesus Christ is risen today!

Jesus Christ is ris’n today, Alleluia!
Our triumphant holy day, Alleluia!
Who did once upon the cross, Alleluia!
Suffer to redeem our loss. Alleluia!

Hymns of praise then let us sing, Alleluia!
Unto Christ, our heav’nly King, Alleluia!
Who endured the cross and grave, Alleluia!
Sinners to redeem and save. Alleluia!

But the pains which he endured, Alleluia!
Our salvation have procured; Alleluia!
Now he reigns above as King, Alleluia!
Where the angels ever sing. Alleluia!

Sing we to our God above, Alleluia!
Praise eternal as his love, Alleluia!
Praise him, all ye heav’nly host, Alleluia!
Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Alleluia!

Little lambs eat ivy...

God's perfect sacrifice for sin and resurrection.

1 Peter 1:18-21: “For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God.”

Easter Weekend!

I love how Easter for me lasts a whole week.  Not just the one day.  For me the celebrations starts on Palm Sunday.  Then Holy Thursday, Good Friday and the main event on Easter Sunday!  For God so loved his world he gave his only begotten Son!

Easter Bunny ~ Spring and fertility, NEW LIFE!

Spring and Easter, inspiration everywhere.  Especially in Augusta, Georgia.  Hubby got to check this one off his bucket list this year!

More Easter trivia to come.

Enjoy the weekend with family and friends and I hope everyone can find a rebirth of spirit.

One fish, two fish

Don't you just love introducing new things to the Grands?  While we babysat MissLayton and MissHadley last time Poppa stopped at the pet store on the way home and bought two bags of gold fish.

I thought MissHadley would be the shy one, but she touched the outside of the bag right away.

No way was MissLayton getting near them.

I'm still not sure, but I will come outsdide and watch.

A "cacker" in your hand is a must for fish release watching.

"Look Layton, our Poppa is so brave!"

"OK MissHadley, fish so over, now let's take a look at all these glorious pebbles".

After bath time, Poppa, MissHadley and MissLayton had one more look to see if they were still there.  They also learned to say fish.  Well, at least shhh.

Random spring shots of the front yard.  Azaleas about to pop.

I'm sure there will be requests for a fish release at least once a month.

Antique week comes to an end

I will just let you enjoy a bunch of unique and different great junk!

Somebody didn't have to pay for a hotel room.  The vendor slept right by her stuff.

Of course she had a ton of cute camping items.

Yes, think outside the box!  Or wash tub... or car part!

I did bring two things home from this tent.

Too fun to pass up a ride, right?!

Treasures!

Clipboards!

And... just when you think you have seen everything....

a lace sailboat, God Bless America!  God Bless Round Top!

Next post, my finds at the fields.
