Round Top, Texas population 90

Round Top, TX has updated their population sign to read 90 instead of 80.  But, for Antique week, the population with crazy shoppers and vendors is well into the hundred thousands.  This will be my shortest post from our fun girls trip to Round Top this year!  #roundtoptexas

And we did have lots of fun at and around Zapp Hall. My two oldest daughters gave up some precious time away from their babies and left Dads in charge back home.  I'm sure everyone was glad to see them when they returned home.  The weather was also picture perfect.  The best I have had yet at Antique week.
 Girls Gone Junkin
This could have been our motto.  Funny too, when Melissa and I walked into her house with our "finds" her husband asked "did you find some good junk?"  When I got home guess what my husband asked?  Same thing.

Good junk huh?  But, this weekend is so much more than the shopping.  It is about hugging, laughing, story telling, eating, dancing and filling our hearts to the brim with lovin'.

Stay tuned... more junk lovin' to come.

See you later ladies ....

I got some shoppin', sippin', sharing time with my sista's to do.

Here is some past FUN in no particular order.

Picnic lunches.  The pickled shrimp was first to go.

Inspiration extreme!

Found my Mom's china! And bought it! She was thrilled.

Make new friends, but keep the old.  One is silver and the other's gold.  (sorry girl scout song reference)

Eye candy everywhere you turn.

Texas is equal opportunity.

Naps included.

Since this picture, that hat has spent a winter in Richland-Chambers Lake and was found again by my son-in-law.

You wish you were me don't ya?!!

my heart with pleasure fills...

and dances with the daffodils.

I still love daffodils and I still am glad I used a verse from one of William Wordsworth's poems to title my blog.

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed--and gazed--but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:

For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

Babies and Lynn's new baby

We love Lala's sghetti!
I did take their nice clean white blouses off before they started eating.  Bath time was right after dinner too.

These are the little plastic plates I saved from when their Mama was little.

Remember our Christmas present to each other.  Our baby born in 1965.  The first 49 years it was cared for by Karl, my step-father.

And Lynn spent most of the afternoon buffing and polishing.  Spring is coming and that is the best convertible weather!

It has a full back seat!  So four can ride!

Another successful family fun St. Patrick's Weekend!

We laughed and talked and had so much fun!

Family and babies decked out in our green.

Sorry, once the parade started I put my camera away! But you can see a previous year's post pictures here.

And if you can't make it in for the weekend, you become an Irish blow up doll.

Pastalaya!  I did eat every bite!

This picture with my sisters pretty much sums up the weekend.

When Irish Eyes are Smiling...

Looking forward to the upcoming holiday.  I am getting ready around the house.

I ordered this print from Dear Lilly.

Tumbling Irishmen from ~ Fitz and Floyd

Napkins I'm using and little pitchers are from TJMAXX/Homegoods.

....and another Pick Your Plum online purchase.  The button pillow was on sale last year at Joanne's.

Little trivia....
I was talking with a friend from Ireland, now living in New Orleans.  Did you know in Ireland they are offended if you call the holiday St. Patty's Day? She also told me that the US embraces the colors green, orange and white for St. Patrick's Day.  She really likes that and they don't use those colors so much in Ireland on the holiday.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Repurposed Rehearsal Dinner flowers

I can't explain the great feeling to take gorgeous bouquets of flowers and shrink them down into tiny little cocktail glass sized arrangements.

Then take them to a local nursing home and make a dull day so bright.

Little cupfuls of love.
