Navy Blue being added to the den

The Den Re-decorate is still in progress.

I wanted to add a navy lamp shade.  The only one I could find was at Bed, Bath and Beyond.  Hated the base, but the price was right.  The white inside of the shade made the light too bright and washed out the navy color.

So, metalic gold Rustoleum to the rescue.  I have more plans for that little can of spray paint too.

I had this old candlestick type lamp base in the attic.  It was a bit chipped, the spray paint covered nicely.  I taped off the shade.  It needed two coats of paint.

It adds just the right amount of gold to that part of the room.  I even turned some books around to show off their gold tinted pages.

I think I just might spray paint the base of an end table with the metallic gold paint.  Hmmm.....

Summer drinks, flowers and babies

Summer is not over yet.  Drinks are still cold.

I'll share my latest secret recipe:

1 ounce your favorite tequila
1/2 ounce Petron orange liqueur
1 ounce Baha Bob's Sweet and Sour (no carbs)
Over ice with a squeeze of lime.

Hibiscus are still blooming.

Babies are always adorable!

Toys still taste good.

Happy end of summer!  It is still in the 90's in Texas.  How about where you are?

Last Summer Fling

School had started for most and the beaches were empty, so we took off for Gulf Shores.

L.A. as in Lower Alabama did not disappoint.  We had a fabulous time and are ready to book a trip for next summer.

Babies and their first beach trip and sandy toes.  What could be more fun!

 Daddy - daughter time.

Nice way to enjoy our bottles.

Ooh Lala, I am having fun!

We will miss you little red house, sun and fun!
